I have been waiting a long time for this litter! These are two wonderful dogs that should come together to produce some fabulous pups. Both dogs are true competitors while maintaining good manners and sensibility. They love to hunt, but can just as well hang out with their owners, just to hang out.
Gabby usually weighs in around 60 lbs and is a real athlete. She is medium yellow and of medium height. She earned her Master Hunter title this past summer (2008) at Greater Pittsburgh Labrador Retriever Club. The highlight of her summer was an awesome job she did running in the master test at Marshbanks Golden Retriever Club of South Central Michigan. It was the most challenging and interesting set of series we have ever run in, but she handled everything with poise. In addition to hunt testing and general waterfowling, Gabby loves to pheasant hunt with me. She is truly a wonderful dog. Her pups should be just as wonderful.
Morgan is 73.5 lbs, medium light yellow and has a gentle and affectionate temperament. He is as eager to please as he is eager to retrieve. Morgan has run a couple of Field Trial Derbies and earned a JAM (Judge’s Award of Merit) in one. He will now begin training to run some FT quals in 2009. Morgan’s littermate, Maple Creek’s Mattie Mae, has an amateur 3rd while two other littermates ( Maple Creek’s Calumet’s Coyote and Downtown Buster Brown) are on the Nat’l Derby list.
